The holidays are all about traditions, and we’ve heard that it only takes two years to create a tradition! There are lots of food traditions in our house, but one that stands out the most to our children is the tradition of Christmas morning. Many people have the tradition of serving cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning, but who has the time to make something so complicated at the very end of the Christmas morning marathon? That is what motivated us to create our five minute cinnamon rolls recipe a few years ago. We use puff pastry instead of a yeasted roll, and to be honest, I love them even more! They taste like a cinnamon roll croissant and the icing can even be made using a little eggnog! Leigh and I both always serve a breakfast casserole on Christmas morning as well. It can be made in advance, easily serve a crowd and is absolutely delicious. Add in some bubbles and a festive fruit salad and you have an easy and relaxed breakfast! Make sure to read all of our tips and tricks for making Christmas morning a sparkling success.

HOSTING TIPS:
Put hot chocolate bombs in the kids stockings for them to enjoy with breakfast. Using a foamer to mix the milk and chocolate is a game changer!
Make a breakfast casserole the day before so all you have to do is pop it in the oven.
There is something super festive about kicking off the morning with some bubbles. After a few years of sad stockings I told my husband to just put a bottle of champagne in my stocking. It fills the stocking perfectly and he now has fun picking out a special champagne.
Use festive paper plates so you don’t have to fill up your dishwasher after breakfast as we all know it will be running overtime all day!
Make a Christmas fruit salad using green grapes, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, red and green apples. My grandmother always tossed it with a little orange juice, so I toss it with a little orange juice.
