There is a formality of Easter - maybe it's the post church clothing, the retro vibes of a spiral ham or the champagne cocktails that are always served at a mid-day meal. That formality is always something we love - crave. And as with any holiday, there are traditions- easter egg hunts, golden eggs, tulips, trumpets at church, new white dress shoes, dying eggs, baskets of candy. But most importantly, the traditions that food brings. Ham or Lamb? That is up for grabs, but in houses like ours where kids are young, it has to be ham. With a side of potatoes au gratin. Must be au gratin at Easter. And asparagus. Maybe with hollandaise sauce, maybe without. But most importantly, cake. Carrot Cake is a must in our house, but coconut cakes and lemon cakes are also welcomed. Best when delivered in the shape of an actual bunny.. Here is our favorite Easter menu, with a side of tips. Hope you enjoy!

HOSTING TIPS:
Bunny Napkins- half your napkin into a triangle, then roll it up. Fold it in half, tie it up about two inches above the fold with cute ribbon or twine. Place an egg inside :)
Tulip Tips- use a pin to put a hole just above the bud. This will help the flower stand up. Throw a few pennies in the vase to kill off bacteria.
If you have houseguests make some banana bread, coffee cake or granola so you have something effortless to serve guests with coffee on Easter morning.
