There is nothing quite as lovely as ending the week with those you love the most, gathered around a table, enjoying a home-cooked meal together. Whether it be family, or friends who are your chosen family, we hope that 2025 allows you to gather more with those your love. Hosting a ‘Sunday Supper’ is the perfect place to start as it feels like more of a low-key form of hosting. No dressing up, no fancy tablescape, no complicated recipes. These dishes make up my absolute favorite Sunday Supper menu. (I also served this cozy menu the first night my whole family arrived over Christmas break.) The meatballs are easy because they are baked, not fried, and they can be made way in advance and kept in the freezer. I can’t even begin to count the number of times I have made them! Every time a friend had a baby or needed a meal over the last two decades, this is what I have brought to them! The salad is a perfect Italian salad, with a make ahead dressing this is nice to keep on hand and enjoy throughout the week, and the garlic bread is always a fan favorite! We end Sunday dinners with ice cream sundaes, of course - removing the actual “making” of dessert from the equation makes life simpler and the kids love putting together their perfect sundae. We hope your 2025 will be filled with many Sunday Suppers.

Sunday Supper Tips:
We always serve Sunday Supper family style. We like to serve dishes in a mix of wooden and white porcelain bowls. Here are some of our favorite affordable serving pieces, and this one from amazon is a great bang for your buck.
Our go to tablecloth and napkins are easily laundered and don’t need to be ironed! We also love these wipeable placemats that come in a variety of gorgeous prints, and are even reversible - two looks in one!
Post-dinner games are always a hit! Our favorite games are small, and also great to throw into your purse for entertaining the kids when you go out to eat.
During winter months we love to have the fire going and football on when friends and family come over for Sunday Supper.
Leftover meatballs? Serve them over polenta, make meatball subs, or serve them over a bed of spinach. We also love how you can keep the meatballs going in a slow cooker if you have people needing to eat at various times, and they are great to have on hand in the freezer for a last minute meal. We always make a double batch for this very reason.
Sundaes are a great tradition for Sunday Supper as you never have to worry about making a dessert, and everyone gets to customize their own. Have all the toppings on hand - whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, and this salted bourbon caramel sauce takes everything to the next level. We like to serve our sundaes in these footed bowls for extra fun.

NEW ‘Elegant yet Easy’ Recipe- Deconstructed Chicken Scarpariello with Smashed Potatoes
Chicken Scarp is a classic Italian dish you find will find on many Italian restaurant menus. This version is a simplified, deconstructed version that is easy to make, full of flavor and gets the praise of adults and kids alike! My whole family, from my Italian father-in-law, to our younger kids, love this dish - so it’s a no-brainer when planning a Sunday Supper. We cube up and marinate the chicken. Whenever I do this instead of making whole pieces of chicken my children always eat twice as much! The chicken cubes and sausages slices are all browned up, making for lots of crispy bits. Then a super simple pan sauce is made that is a little bit spicy and tangy and is poured over the chicken and sausage (or not! This part can be saved just for the grown ups). Served with our favoite smashed potatoes, this simple meal will be on rotation in 2025!
